About Meerut STPI

STPI-Meerut centre is the 62nd centre established by STPI in collaboration with Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt of India and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Under the jurisdictional directorate of STPI-Noida, the Meerut centre is the 54th centre of STPI in Tier-2/3 cities. With a total built-up area of 25,074 sq. ft., STPI-Meerut facilitates Plug-n-Play space of 3,704 sq. ft. with 133 seats, raw incubation space of 2,021 sq. ft., Network Operations Centre, 115-seater auditorium, 21-seater conference room, and 16-seater cafeteria while providing high speed data communication facilities. STPI-Meerut will play a significant role in expanding the IT footprint of Uttar Pradesh and empowering the budding tech entrepreneurs and innovators of the region to translate their ideas into innovative products.

The state-of-the-art incubation facility at STPI-Meerut will promote the region as one of the preferred IT destinations and attract IT/ITES/ESDM units to the state, provide Statutory Services under Software Technology Park (STP) & Electronic Hardware Technology Park (EHTP) Scheme, promote the export of IT Software and Services from the region while contributing to Gross National Exports, and offer a vibrant ecosystem for creating a maker culture among the young techno-entrepreneurs & startups to make India a software product nation.

The Beginning

STPI-Meerut centre was inaugurated by Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & IT and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India on 28th December 2021.

The Growth Booster

The Role of STPI in the growth of the IT industry has been tremendous, especially in the case of start-up SMEs. STP scheme the catalyst The STP scheme is a 100 percent export-oriented scheme for the development and export of computer software, including export of professional services using communication links or physical media. This scheme is unique in its nature as it focuses on one product/sector, i.e. computer software. The scheme integrates the government concept of 100 percent Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and Export Processing Zones (EPZs) and the concept of Science Parks/Technology Parks, as operating elsewhere in the world. To empower the industry and enable them to start their operations immediately, STPI-Meerut has developed a total built-up area of 25,074 sq. ft., Plug-n-Play space of 3,704 sq. ft. with 133 seats, and raw incubation space of 2,021 sq. ft.
